Dr. Larsen is strongly committed to continuing his education which shows in his passion for learning and a mindset for improving. He has spent countless hours in courses mastering rotary endodontics (root canals), dental implant placement and restoration, and full mouth restoration to be able to handle the most complex cases.
In addition to being a general practitioner, Dr. Larsen has a thorough knowledge of TMJ dysfunction and dental sleep medicine, both of which can be the root cause of many dental issues. Dr. Larsen has completed nearly 3 years of post-graduate training and over 2,000 hours of continuing education in Craniofacial Pain, TMD, and Dental Sleep Medicine. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Craniofacial Pain and the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine. If you have one or more cavities requiring fillings, we offer a variety of options to suit the individual needs of our patients. Our compassionate dentists have a shared philosophy of empowering their patients to make choices regarding their own oral health.
When you come in to Aesthetic Dento-Facial Associates in Sandy Springs for treatment, Dr. Muecke, Dr. Leever or Dr. Sims will assess your situation carefully and explain all your options for treatment, so you can determine which solution is best for you.
For teeth that are broken, fractured or at risk of breaking, your dentist will recommend a protective crown to restore and protect the tooth. At Aesthetic Dento-Facial Associates, we work with labs that use state-of-the-art technology to create crowns that look and feel like real teeth.
The goal with a dental crown is to protect and preserve as much of the original tooth as possible. If a significant amount of tooth is still intact, your dentist may recommend an onlay, or a partial crown that covers only the parts of the tooth that need additional protection.
If you are missing one or more teeth, the gap between your teeth needs to be filled to prevent further complications. Remaining teeth can migrate into the gap, causing a bad bite; those gaps are also prime locations for gum disease to develop. A dental bridge serves both restorative and cosmetic purposes, effectively “bridging” the gap to keep your teeth in place and restore your bite (as well as your smile).
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason.
